Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026 · Effective: August 6, 2026

Introduction

Welcome to Domain Scout. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Domain Scout platform, website, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing our website at domainscout.co , or using any of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy .

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using Domain Scout, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Domain Scout provides an AI-powered platform for monitoring, analyzing, and discovering domain names in auctions and expiring domain marketplaces. Our Services include:

  • Domain Search & Discovery: Search and filter domains aggregated from third-party auction and drop feeds. The set of sources changes over time as those feeds change.
  • AI-Powered Analysis: Domain valuation estimates, brandability scores, SEO metrics, and investment insights
  • Watchlist & Alerts: Save domains and receive email notifications when domains match your criteria
  • Performance Metrics: Traffic estimates, backlink analysis, domain authority scores
  • Subscription Plans: A single paid plan, Pro, at $29/month (see section 4.1)

Important Disclaimer: Domain Scout provides information and analysis tools only. We do not sell, broker, or facilitate domain transactions. All domain purchases must be completed through the respective auction platform that listed the domain.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We implement security measures including:

  • Password hashing, performed by Supabase as our authentication provider
  • Rate limiting: 5 login attempts per minute and 3 registrations per minute
  • Email verification for new accounts
  • Optional Google OAuth authentication

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse our Services. There is no self-service delete button today. To close your account, email support@domainscout.co from the address on your account with “Delete my account” in the subject line; we handle these requests manually. This is the same process described in our Privacy Policy .

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

4.1 Subscription Tiers

Domain Scout offers the following subscription plans:

  • Free preview (no account): Some pages on our site offer a single-domain preview you can run without signing up. It is rate-limited, is not offered everywhere on the site, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. It is a preview, not a free tier.
  • Registered account (no charge): Creating an account is free, but the domain feed, AI analysis, watchlists, and alerts are gated behind the paid plan. There is no generally available free tier at present.
  • Pro Plan ($29/month): Access to the domain feed and AI analysis, watchlists, email alerts, advanced filtering, and historical data. Usage is subject to the plan's limits, currently 100 domain searches per day and 120 API requests per minute. Support is by email at support@domainscout.co ; we operate a single support mailbox and do not offer a separate priority queue.

We do not currently issue API keys or publish API documentation. Any reference elsewhere on the site to “API access” refers to the interface the Domain Scout web app itself uses, not a supported public API.

Current pricing and feature details are available on our Pricing Page .

4.2 Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Paid subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial . You are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost
  • Starting the trial requires a valid payment method up front. Stripe collects and holds your card details before the trial begins, and charges it automatically when the trial ends unless you have cancelled
  • After the trial, subscriptions renew automatically each month
  • Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees
  • We do not store your credit card information (handled by Stripe)

4.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. To request a refund, email support@domainscout.co within 7 days of your first charge — that is, within 7 days of the 14-day free trial ending.

There is no automated refund flow and no refund button in the app. Refunds are issued manually through Stripe after you email us, so allow a few business days for the request to be processed and for Stripe to return the funds to your card.

Refunds are not available for:

  • Renewal charges (cancel before renewal date to avoid charges)
  • Partial months or unused portions of a monthly billing period
  • Accounts terminated for Terms violations

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing support@domainscout.co . Your account settings page shows your current plan but does not yet offer a cancel button. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you retain access to paid features until then.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. A price change will not affect your current billing cycle, and we will aim to give you notice before it takes effect. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not want to accept a new price, cancel before your next renewal.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use our Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
